A Randomized, Controlled Study, Assessing the Safety and Efficacy of the MicroVas Vascular Treatment System in the Treatment of Patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy in the Lower Extremities IRB #Pro00001496 Conducted At the University of Texas Health and Science Center and the Texas Diabetes Institute in San Antonio, Texas November 2006 June 2007 Preliminary Outcome to Date: “It is our opinion with the results so far to date thata the MicroVas device proves to be of utmost efficacy in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in the lower extremitites.” The outcomes so far to date (June 8, 1007) in the clinical trial assessing the efficacy and safety of the MicroVas device in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in the lower extremeties have shown to be “quite remarkable.” The trial publication should be available and ready for peer review journal and conference presentation in the fall of 2007. |

Most of the possible mechanisms in the pathogenesis of neuropathy results in ischemia, and the resultant hypoxia are, in every case, a major causative agent in the degradation of axonal. The MicroVas Vascular Treatment System incoporates a faradic magnetic waveform, delivered by emitter pads (electrodes) transcutaneously, to obtain full muscle fiber penetration in order to achieve deep muscle stimulation, lymphatic stimulation, and restore calf pump mechanical function, which causes blood to pump more efficiently and increase blood perfusion to upper and lower extremities to ultimately rejuvinate nerve function which had been damaged by the diabetic or non-diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
